Within the newly founded DFG Graduate School "“Tailored Scale-Bridging Approaches to Computational Nanoscience” (www.compnano.kit.edu) you take on the following tasks:
- Developing new, extending and adapting existing scientific workflow methods to enable domain-specific solutions in computational nanoscience
- Transfer of knowledge and experience with workflow methods to application scientists in the form of tutorials and seminars, as well as within the framework of the planned cooperation projects in the graduate school
- Deployment and support of middleware (e.g. UNICORE, FireWorks, MongoDB)
- Publication of research results in scientific journals and at international conferences
You have a university degree and a doctoral degree in computer science or computational science. In addition, you have specialized knowledge of workflow systems and/or high-performance computing as well as a good command of English. Knowledge of workflow languages, software development and experience in interdisciplinary teams are advantageous.
Salary category 13, depending on the fulfillment of professional and personal requirements.
