Research Associate (f/m/d) in the field of Physics, Chemistry or Materials Science
As part of the Collaborative Research Center 'TrackAct' you will use state-of-the-art analytical (S)TEM techniques to characterize catalyst materials from exhaust gas treatment. You will develop in-situ/operando (S)TEM methods for the characterization of model systems in catalysis. The results of your structural characterization will be correlated with in-situ X-ray spectroscopic and tomographic studies to develop a systematic understanding of the structure-morphology-function relationship in conjunction with preparative groups and various modeling approaches. In addition, you will develop schemas to describe TEM investigations as part of a FAIR data management approach. In addition, you will publish your scientific results.
In addition to the scientific activity, there is the possibility of a part-time PhD.
You have a university degree (Diplom (Uni)/ Master) in the field of physics, chemistry or material science. Basic physical knowledge with imaging and spectroscopic characterization methods from the field of electron microscopy and in the field of materials science and catalysis is a prerequisite. In addition, you have analytical ability to solve physical and technical questions, are a team player and have a very good command of English.
Salary category 13, depending on the fulfillment of professional and personal requirements.
