Job description
IKFT investigates catalyzed processes for the production of chemical energy carriers from synthesis gas, in particular starting from CO2 and H2 from renewable sources. In the innovation pool project "Solar hydrogen - high purity and compressed", you will contribute to gaining essential scientific knowledge and viable technologies for the production and use of green hydrogen. In this context, the IKFT is working on innovative catalysis concepts for the application of hydrogen in chemical processes. Your tasks in this project will be:
- performing catalyst syntheses
- testing of activity and deactivation in heterogeneous-catalyzed methanol synthesis with H2 in different degrees of purity
- investigation of catalyst materials by analytical and spectroscopic methods
- writing of progress reports and participation in workshops and project meetings.
The position offers the opportunity for a doctoral degree.
Personal qualification
Master's degree in chemistry or chemical engineering. You have successfully completed your diploma or master's degree and have a high interest in scientific research. First experiences in heterogeneous catalysis, inorganic synthesis and corresponding characterization methods are desirable additions to your profile.
Salary
Salary category 13, depending on the fulfillment of professional and personal requirements.
