PhD student with a background in physics, chemistry, meteorology or geophysics (f/m/d)
and a keen interest in astrophysics or chemistry or physics of (planetary) atmospheres
In the frame of the project INCREASE funded by the German Research Foundation DFG, you will investigate the impact of stellar activity of different star types onto the evolution and composition of exoplanetary atmospheres. For this, you will further develop the planetary atmosphere model ExoTIC, carry out model studies for different star types and planetary atmospheres, and analyse them.
You have a diplom (uni) / master in physics, chemistry, meteorology or geophysics. You have good English communications skills and are willing to present your research results to a broader public, both on conferences and in relevant journals. Sound knowledge of atmospheric physics and chemistry as well as good programming skills are of advantage.
